Odisha reports 55th COVID-19 +VE case; From Bomikhal

TNI Bureau: A day after reporting no COVID-19 positive case yesterday, a new confirmed case of Coronavirus has been detected in Odisha today, taking the number to 55 in the State.

The 55th COVID-19 case belongs to Bomikhal area in Bhubaneswar. The 35-year-old male patient is linked to the previously identified 4 positive cases in the area.

The patient was asymptomatic and remained at his home at Babylon Apartment, Jayadurga Nagar since the Lockdown (22 March – 12 April, 2020). He has been shifted to KIMS COVID Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

Total number of positive cases in Bhubaneswar has risen to 42, while Odisha tally stands at 55 now. 13 persons have recovered while one person died. Currently, there are 41 active cases in the State.

Meanwhile, the BMC has withdrawn the ‘containment zone’ from Sundarpada and Jadupur-Begunia area. However, house to house survey will continue in these areas for the next 7 days.
