Odisha: Health Worker in Koraput tests +VE for COVID-19

TNI Bureau: The tribal dominated Koraput district has reported the first Coronavirus +VE case. This is the first COVID-19 case in South Odisha.

A 22-year-old Male Health Worker (Staff Nurse) in Dasmantapur block has tested positive for COVID-19. He was an asymptomatic case. He had returned from Kolkata (West Bengal) on April 14; was quarantined and did not join duty.

Another 32-year-old male who had returned from West Bengal, has tested positive for Corona in Balasore. Earlier, 5 more +VE cases were reported from the district.

One more COVID-19 +VE case has been reported from Jajpur, taking the number in the district to 19. The 34-year-old male in Basudevpur returned from Kolkata, West Bengal.

With this, the number of positive cases in Odisha has gone up to 111. Two more patients recovered in Bhubaneswar taking the number of recoveries in the State to 37.
