The secure web-based platform has been designed to simplify interaction between citizens and the Governor’s Secretariat. The launch aligns with the vision of Digital India promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reflects Lok Bhavan’s continued commitment to innovation, transparency, and efficient governance.

Over the past year, Lok Bhavan has taken several forward-looking initiatives. The campus has been converted into a net-zero facility by meeting its energy needs through solar power, and electric vehicles have been included in the Governor’s official convoy to promote clean energy. In addition, an environmental park named “Atal Bana,” developed in honor of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, stands as a symbol of sustainability, heritage, and innovation.

Earlier, citizens had to go through extensive paperwork and multiple visits to manage appointments, grievances, and visitor entry at Lok Bhavan. With the launch of the e-Lok Bhavan Odisha App, these processes have been simplified and brought under a single, user-friendly digital interface.

The platform allows citizens to book appointments online, track real-time status, and receive WhatsApp and SMS alerts. It also provides QR-code-based e-gate passes, secure entry verification, and a centralized dashboard for officials. Additional features include website integration and a 360-degree virtual tour of Lok Bhavan. The system follows a structured, role-based workflow to ensure transparency, accountability, and faster decision-making.

Citizens can register using their mobile numbers, request appointments, and receive approval notifications via WhatsApp and SMS. After approval, visitors will receive QR-based e-gate passes and reminders for their scheduled visit. Following the meeting, approved photographs will also be shared securely via WhatsApp, ensuring proper digital documentation.

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati said the introduction of the e-Lok Bhavan Odisha App marks a progressive step toward transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance. He added that the use of technology will improve efficiency and reduce procedural delays in managing appointments and visitors.

Governor’s Commissioner-cum-Secretary Rupa Roshan Sahu and senior Lok Bhavan officials were present during the launch ceremony.

The initiative highlights Lok Bhavan’s commitment to integrating technology with governance and strengthening transparent, efficient, and digitally empowered administration in Odisha.
