TNI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended 42nd annual function of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir at Nilakantha Nagar, Berhampur. The CM described the occasion as ‘Homecoming’ while recalling his early teaching years.
Mohan Majhi praised the institution, founded through the efforts of former RSS Prant Sanghchalak Shri Shivaram Mahapatra, for its contribution over the last 35 years. Majhi’s career began as the Guruji of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, a school run by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Majhi announced several development projects for Berhampur and Ganjam district including construction of 10 important roads in Berhampur and nearby areas at a cost of Rs 52.17 crore. He also announced a six-lane Berhampur–Jeypore highway project worth Rs 6,000 crore, which is already in process.
