TNI Bureau: A youth from Odisha’s Ganjam district was reportedly killed in a drone attack during the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

The deceased has been identified as A. Rameya of Madhabandha village under Chikiti block in Ganjam district. He had reportedly gone to Russia around a month ago for work.

According to reports, Rameya died in a drone strike in Moscow amid the continuing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over his native village after family members received the tragic news.

Confirming the death, Ganjam Collector Keerthi Vasan V said discussions are underway with the Indian Embassy regarding the matter.

The district administration is also making efforts to bring back the mortal remains of the deceased youth to Odisha along with safe repatriation of the injured G Teja Reddy and G Khetrabasi Reddy of Kotharsingi village under Golanthara Police Station Jurisdiction in Ganjam district, the Collector added.
