TNI Bureau: With an aim to provide a safe and secure passage for pedestrians, the National Highways Authority of India will build a 500-metre skywalk from Palasuni to Rasulgarh in Bhubaneswar at a cost of ₹20 crore.
The proposed skywalk aims to significantly reduce the risk of road accidents, providing a safe crossing point over busy roads.
The Palasuni-Rasulgarh stretch is one of the busiest entry points into the capital city and has been identified as accident-prone, particularly for pedestrians attempting to cross the highway amidst fast-moving traffic.
The skywalk is part of NHAI’s broader initiative to enhance road safety infrastructure and streamline traffic flow, especially in urban areas with high traffic.
