The CMAS was created in 2008 with the motto of Jameen Mukti, Mada Mukti, Goti Mukti (Struggle for land, emancipation from alcoholism and bonded labour)” from the non tribal people, who they believe, enslave the tribals of Narayanpatna and Bandhungam areas of Koraput district.

It is also alleged that the CMAS has Maoist connection and hundreds of non-tribal families of that region are violently forced to leave their agriculture-land and homes for the tribals.
