Middle East Conflict Deepens: US-Israel vs Iran War

Date:

TNI Bureau: The Middle East conflict has taken a perilous turn as Iran launched extensive missile strikes on multiple U.S. military bases across the Gulf region, retaliating against coordinated strikes by Israel and the United States on Iranian soil. Tehran described the operation as a legitimate act of self-defence, but the scale and reach of the attacks have sharply escalated regional tensions.

Key American installations in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates were reportedly targeted, including the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and several critical airbases supporting regional operations. Missiles were also directed toward sites in Jordan and other locations linked to U.S. military presence.

The barrage prompted emergency alerts, widespread airspace closures, and heightened defensive responses across Gulf states. In Abu Dhabi, civilian casualties were reported amid falling debris and explosions, underscoring the human cost of the confrontation. Air defence systems across the region intercepted numerous incoming projectiles, preventing wider destruction.

Washington has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding its forces and interests, issuing shelter-in-place advisories for American citizens and reinforcing its military posture. With commercial flights disrupted and diplomatic channels under strain, fears of a broader regional war with global economic consequences, are intensifying.
