The verdict is expected to be pronounced on December 3. The parents are accused of threatening their son to send back to India. The couple allegedly scolded their son for wetting his father’s pants.

The couple has been remanded in police custody. They have been charged with gross repeated maltreatment of their child by threats, violence or other wrong under section 219 of the Penal Code.

The couple belongs to Andhra Pradesh. Chandrasekhar Vallabhaneni is software professional, while his wife Anupama is an officer at the Indian Embassy.

The couple was arrested after his 7-year-old son complained to his school teachers that his parents were threatening to send him back to India for his acts.

The incident occurred months after another couple complained their children were taken away from them by the Norway’s Child Welfare Society in May last year. The Norway authorities alleged that there was emotional disconnection with their parents.
