IAF AN-32 Aircraft Catches Fire After Landing at Assam’s Jorhat Airbase

TNI Bureau: An Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 transport aircraft met with an accident while landing at the Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam on Saturday, triggering a fire within the airbase premises.

According to the IAF, the aircraft was involved in an accident during landing, following which firefighting teams were immediately deployed to the site. Efforts to control the fire were underway.

Senior Air Force officials rushed to the accident site to assess the situation. Authorities said it was too early to determine the cause of the accident, and details regarding casualties, if any, were still being ascertained.

The condition of the crew members and the extent of damage to the aircraft were not immediately known. The Indian Air Force said further details would be shared after a thorough assessment of the incident.
