The delegation alleged that several civic and infrastructure projects in Hinjili Municipality have come to a standstill due to what they described as government neglect and a biased administrative approach.

They also raised concerns over the law and order situation, alleging selective policing and claiming that complainants were being harassed while accused persons were moving freely, creating fear among the public.

On healthcare, the leaders pointed out that despite modern infrastructure at the Hinjili Sub-Divisional Hospital, services remain inadequate due to a shortage of doctors and supporting staff. They further highlighted an acute shortage of municipal employees, affecting the delivery of essential services.

The delegation also alleged irregularities in welfare schemes, including arbitrary cancellation of ration cards and social security benefits of eligible beneficiaries. They claimed that political bias in police administration has discouraged people from approaching police stations.

Seeking Naveen Patnaik’s intervention, the delegation urged steps to ensure fair governance and timely redressal of public grievances.

Assuring support, Naveen Patnaik said he would take up the issues with the district administration and reiterated his commitment to the overall development of the Hinjili constituency.
