TNI Bureau: ‘Dostana 2’, the second installment of Karan Johar and Tarun Mansukhani’s 2008 hit ‘Dostana’ has officially been confirmed to go on the floors later this year. Lead actor of the film Abhishek Bachchan backed up that Dostana 2 will be starting later this year, at the HT Mumbai’s Most Stylish 2013 awards function recently.
Though the producer and director are silent in this nexus Bachchan said, ‘Yes, Dostana 2 will be starting later this year. Right now, we are figuring out the schedules. Karan, Tarun, John and I had decided last year itself that this is the script we want to go with. At the moment, the film is in the pre-production stage”.
Yet, for the female lead, Katrina Kaif’s name has been doing the rounds for some time though the makers are apparently still on the lookout. Karan will take a final call once he wraps up Bombay Talkies, his ongoing film. Lead actors Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have been asked to work out their dates to shoot for the film in coming September 13.
