Fans enjoyed this evening at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium after Chennai beat Kolkata by 14 runs in their IPL 6 match. Manvinder Bisla’s 92 and an unbeaten 32 from Eoin Morgan were not enough for Kolkata to win the tournament on Sunday.
Kolkata struggled a lot chasing 201. However, they could not manage to continue the game with confidence after Bisla was out. He hit 92 off 61 balls but he was run out by a direct hit from Michael Hussey. Even Morgan failed to deliver the big hits despite hitting a few before.
Kolkata scored 186/4 (20.0 ov). They had won the toss, but elected to field first. This match was of good batting but poor bowling and catching from both the sides. Chennai scored 200/3 (20.0 ov). They committed mistakes by dropping a few easy catches. However, at the end of the game, they were the winner. Michael Hussey was the MoM for 95 off 59 balls.
