BJD Suspends Two MLAs for Violating Party Discipline

TNI Bureau: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today suspended two of its MLAs—Arvind Mohapatra and Sanatan Mahakud—from the party with immediate effect for violating party discipline and guidelines.

Announcing the decision, BJD Spokesperson and Media Coordinator Dr. Lenin Mohanty said the action was taken after careful deliberation and due process. He stated that party members are required to strictly adhere to the party’s constitution and established guidelines, and decisive action is always taken against those who violate them.

Dr. Mohanty said BJD President and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik does not tolerate indiscipline or corruption within the party. He described the BJD as one of India’s most successful regional parties, with over one crore dedicated members, built under Naveen Patnaik’s leadership.

He added that party workers across Odisha have welcomed and wholeheartedly supported Naveen Patnaik’s decision.
