TNI Bureau: The All India Students’ Federation (AISF) has expressed strong displeasure over the disclosure of plans for forming a new political party during the ‘Yuva Conclave–2026’, organised by the Moquim Foundation on January 12 on the occasion of National Youth Day.
According to a press statement issued by AISF state secretary Kahnu Charan Parida, AISF state president Sanghamitra Jena had been invited to the conclave as an honoured speaker for a panel discussion titled “Role of Youth in Building a New Odisha.” The invitation, Parida said, did not include any written or verbal indication regarding preparations for the formation of a new political party.
The event was projected as a constructive discussion involving youth leaders with diverse ideological backgrounds. Two sitting MLAs and two women leaders from the media were also scheduled to participate as speakers. However, AISF objected to the announcement related to the formation of a new political party during the programme, stating that it was inappropriate and misleading.
AISF has warned the Moquim Foundation against presenting such politically motivated programmes under the guise of youth-oriented discussions in the future, the statement added.
