As many as 19 passengers of the Bagmati Express (Train No. 12578), which derailed at Kavaraipettai have been admitted to hospital.
Indian Railways has initiated a high-level inquiry into the incident. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi attacked the Centre over the train accident in Tamil Nadu.
