Uttar Pradesh bowl out for 160, Odisha 70/5
TNI Bureau: Deepak Behera took a six-wicket haul, as Odisha managed to bowl Uttar Pradesh out for a paltry 160 in the first innings of their last Ranji Trophy match in Cuttack. However, UP bounced back by restricting the hosts at 70/5 at the end of play on Day 1.
Deepak Behera took six wickets for just 37 runs, while Basant Mohanty and Biplab Samantray took two wickets each. Akasheep Nath scored 37, while Mukul Dagar made 29. Ali Murtaza contributed 24.
Odisha had a poor start, as they lost Sandeep Mulia and Natraj Behera cheaply. They lost three more wickets to finish Day 1 at 70/5. Haldhar Das and Biplab Samantray are at the crease. Imtiaz Ahmed has taken two wickets so far.
