TNI Bureau: In a press meet at Congress Bhawan today, PCC General Secretary Mr. Arya Kumar Gyanedra accused the Naveen Government for misusing the central government funded NRHM scheme on his own publicity.
The congress leader pointed out that, the ongoing winter assistance of Rs. 200/- each for the elderly, widows and disabled persons by Government of Odisha is just a political gimmick, as this amount is too little to buy a blanket at least.
Mr. Gyanedra pointed out how a letter sent by the Mission Director, NRHM & Ex-officio Addl. Secretary, Dr. Meherda to all District administrations asking for wider publicity of the programme at district, block, and sub centre level through UGC network of NRHM.
“Mr. Meherda also asked the concern authorities to spend Rs. 300/- on banner having photo of Chief Minister which will be put on at Panchayat level from the NRHM fund,” Gyanandra said.
The PCC General Secretary also blamed the Naveen government for failing to mitigate the health hazards like, Malaria, Dengue, Diarrhea etc in different part of the state, but trying to take advantage in spending central-fund in its own publicity.
