Balangir: An Ayush doctor, who had allegedly forged some document to grab the government job of doctor at the Chudapali Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Balangir district, has recently been arrested by the Balangir Police.
The doctor, who is originally a native of Khudha District allegedly forged with the Voter ID Card to be appointed as an Ayush doctor in the PHC to fulfill the requirement of the government job. The eligibility criteria for the job categorically mentioned that a candidate has to be a resident of Balangir district. The number of the ID card which he submitted bears the same number which was issued to one S. Panigrahi, who is a permanent resident of Balangir district.

The matter came to light when Dr.Truptirani Kahar, an aspirant for the same job complained about the matter in Town P.S. Balangir days before with the requisite RTI documents, which she had received from the Chudapali PHC in this context. After receiving the complaint Police registered a case against the doctor after due inquiry.
The voter ID had the photograph of the doctor but the ID card number belonged to someone else, which actually raised doubt. The matter was brought to the notice of the CDMO, Balangir who assured to take necessary action and now the Doctor is arrested.
