TNI Bureau: Expelled BJD leader and Odisha Janmorcha (OJM) founder Pyari Mohan Mohapatra’s ‘Kranti Samavesh’ in Bhawanipatna generated much heat and curiosity, as around 15,000 people gathered at the venue to listen to him.

Even though the BJD organised meetings across the Kalahandi districts in the last few fays in order to discourage the party cadres from attending the Pyari’s rally, the crowd came in large numbers. Pyari and other OJM leaders slammed Naveen Patnaik at the rally.

Pyari sought to take the credit for all developmental work undertaken by the BJD in the last 9 years, saying Naveen does not know anything about the programmes and their implementation.

Pyari Mohapatra termed the rally as a big success. However, the BJD termed it as a big flop, saying only Congress cadres and paid workers had joined the Kranti Samavesh, but no BJD leaders had supported it. Some youths showed black flags during the rally, but they were immediately arrested by the police.
