TNI Bureau: England’s fast bowler Steven Finn was ruled out of the first test match against India, which will begin in Ahmedabad, due to a thigh strain. He did not even attend the training sessions due to pain.
It would be a tough task for England to face India at Motera, as Stuart Broad is also having a bruised heel. He will still play in the test match, but his fitness remains doubtful. Tim Bresnan may replace Finn in the playing XI.
India also got a jolt after Ishant Sharma reported illness. Ashok Dinda has been called in to act as a standby. It is not yet known whether Ishant would be able to play tomorrow or not.
