TNI Bureau: Millions suffered after the massive storm Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast of the United States. The storm created a havoc devastating the New York City where at least 18 people were killed. More than 10 million people stayed without electricity in several states. Even President Barack Obama put his election campaign on hold to monitor the situation.
The devastating storm caused about billions of dollars in losses, which will be tough on the part of the government to recover in short period of time.

The hurricane has caused maximum damage in New Jersey and New York City. New York’s subway system and the railway services were completed closed. The government ordered the buses to run with passengers without fare. The business establishments and shops were submerged under flood water in New Jersey. Lower Manhattan’s Wall Street district is the worst-hit area.
Parts of West Virginia were also submerged. The New York Stock Exchange, which was closed for a second day on Tuesday, will be opened today.
