ISRO preparing GIS Database for AMRUT Towns and Smart Cities

The Indian Space ReseISROarch Organisation (ISRO) is working with Minstry of Urban Development for enabling preparation of large scale GIS database using satellite data for 500 towns under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT).

These 500 towns include 100 towns under Smart city Programme announced by the Government of India.

This information was provided by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said.
