India outclass Pakistan 6-0 in Sultan of Johor Cup

JOHOR INDDefending champion India thrashed Pakistan by 6-0 in the Sultan of Johor Cup Hockey Under-21 Tournament being played in Malaysia on Wednesday.

India’s Arman Qureshi scored two goals, while Imran, Parminder, Harmanpreet and Varun scored one goal each.

India, led by Harjeet Singh, has so far earned six points from three games, while Pakistan is languishing with one point from three games.

“It’s good win but there’s still lot of areas to improve,” said Indian coach Harendra Singh. “I have to give credit to my players. They switch from fast play to holding the ball very well. It was a display of maturity,” he added.
