Odisha CM hikes Monthly Allowance of Gram Rakshis

TNI Bureau: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced an increase in the monthly allowance of Gram Rakshis working in rural areas of Odisha.

The allowance has been raised from ₹1,800 to ₹2,500 per month. In addition, Gram Rakshis will now be required to mark their attendance once a week at the police station under whose jurisdiction they work.

The decision recognises the important role played by Gram Rakshis in maintaining law and order and assisting in the identification of criminals in rural areas.
