Nuapada: BJP candidate Jay Dholakia has further strengthened his position in the Nuapada bypoll as countin continues. After the completion of Round 17 of the 26 rounds, Dholakia has secured 83,572 votes.

The Congress candidate is in 26,753 votes, while the BJD candidate has 26,203 votes at this stage of counting.
With these figures, Dholakia is now leading by 56,819 votes.
