IPL 6: Mumbai win by 58 Runs

Date:

This time Chris Gayle is not lucky for his team Bangalore. Neither he nor anyone else from his team could help to reach the target and consequently the Royal Challengers Bangalore received a big loss in the ongoing IPL 6 today. Mumbai Indians won by 58 runs at their home ground.

Another Gayle storm was expected to rock this tournament. However, he scored only 18 off 20 balls.

It was a clinical victory for Mumbai. Mitchell Johnson harassed Gayle repeatedly in a few overs. The Bangalore could not get a good start that they used to. For Mumbai, it was a good track to bat on in the first innings, and the dew helped them in the 2nd to beat Bangalore. It can be considered as their best win so far.

Mumbai Indians had won the toss and elected to bat first. From their side, all played a perfect game today. They had a good start. They scored 194/7 (20.0 Ovs). However, Bangalore players did not show any confidence while chasing the target 195. They scored 136/7 (20.0 Ovs) losing seven wickets.

Dwayne Smith was the MoM for 50 runs off 36 balls. He has also taken two wickets. Skipper Rohit Sharma is no doubt enjoying the captaincy for a series of victories in the IPL. He is looking forward to do well in the next matches as well.
