After giving a number of hits in the film industry, Ollywood star Anubhav Mohanty joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced it today at his residence Naveen Nivas.

Anubhav’s entry into politics will give the ruling party a tremendous boost in the state for the general elections 2014 as the star is very popular amongst the young generation.

Sounds like, the actor is following the path of two superstars – Sidhhant Mohapatra and Prasant Nanda – who have proved themselves in politics. Anubhav is a youth icon and it will help the party to influence people during election campaign.

The actor feels blessed by entering into politics as he had never expected that he would get an opportunity to be part of the ruling party. He is a fan of Naveen Patnaik also appreciates BJD’s Youth Policy.
