TNI Bureau: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to arrive in Odisha on a one-day visit on March 7, where he will participate in key official engagements and review critical security matters.
During his visit, Shah will travel to Mundali in Cuttack district to attend the Raising Day celebrations of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at its campus. The event is expected to highlight the force’s role in maintaining internal security and combating insurgency across the country.
The Home Minister is also likely to review the ongoing anti-Naxal operations in the state, assessing coordination, preparedness, and deployment of central forces. Discussions may further focus on the implementation and enforcement of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, as part of the Centre’s broader push to strengthen the criminal justice system and enhance law enforcement efficiency.
Officials anticipate that the visit will reinforce security coordination between the Centre and the state, particularly in addressing left-wing extremism and modernizing policing frameworks.
