TNI Bureau: The Assam Molestation case, which has triggered a national outrage has so far claimed many heads than expected. 12 of the 15 accused have been arrested so far. However, the prime accused Amar Jyoti Kalita is still at large.

After the resignation of journalist Gaurav Jyoti Neog, Atanu Bhuyan, the Editor-in-Chief of News Live, has also resigned from his post. Both resigned following the allegations that the molestation drama was planted by the channel to gain mileage.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also removed Alka Lamba from the probe committee after she revealed the identity of the victim before the Press and defended her action later. The SSP of Guwahati, Apurba Jiban Baruah, was also transferred for dereliction in duty.
