TDP Leader Yerran Naidu dies of Road Mishap

TNI Bureau: Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former Union Minister K. Yerran Naidu died in a road accident in Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh in the wee hours today. He was 55. He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.

Naidu was returning from a wedding ceremony in Visakhapatnam when the mishap took place. His car hit an oil tanker from behind. Yerran Naidu was rushed to the hospital. He was declared dead at 3:30 AM. Three others sustained serious injuries.

The incident occurred near Ranasthalam in Srikakulam district. Yerran Naidu was a four-time MP. He also served as a Union Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s cabinet.
