Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi are the architects of developing Bihar. They were the friends of four decades, but are now parting ways after the BJP-JD(U) split. While Nitish is lauded for the overall development of the state, Sushil Modi’s contribution could not be ignored.
If Bihar boasts of an average of 10.9% annual growth under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, the success could be attributed to Sushil Modi’s efforts. He was behind the idea of bringing good budget when he was the finance minister by adding separate columns for dalits.
Even Nitish could deny the fact that revenue of the state was increased due to Sushil’s efforts. Both the leaders share good relationship. They were good planners and reformers. However, decision at the BP national executive meeting shattered everything. BJP got Narendra Modi as its election campaign head, but the decision created crack in NDA.
Sushil is an admirer of Nitish. Even he had earned displeasure of his partymen when he described Nitish as prime ministerial face. Together, they helped Bihar to get rid of Lalu’s Goondaraj.
