The CNN-IBN and The Hindu opinion poll conducted by the CSDS, has come up with interesting revelations about the Chief Ministers in India. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan leads the pack with 82% satisfaction among the voters of his state. In 2011, the satisfaction level in his favour was 75%.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik occupies the second spot in the list. He enjoys the support of 79% of the voters in Odisha. In 2011, his popularity percentage was 72%. There is more bad news for Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, as popularity level went down to 69% in 2013 from 90% in 2011 after the break-up between JD(U) and BJP.

In West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has received a huge setback, as people have rejected her work and functioning style. Her popularity has gone down to 50% in 2013 as compared to 79% in 2011. Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh’s popularity has come down to 75% from 86%.

In Delhi, CM Sheila Dikshit’s popularity is on a sharp decline. He enjoys the support of just 39% as compared to 51% in 2011, signalling heavy defeat for the Congress in the upcoming assembly polls. There is some good news for the Congress in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. The voter satisfaction for Ashok Gahlot in Rajasthan is pegged at 65% as compared to 58% in 2011. In Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chavan enjoys the support of 64%. In 2011, the percentage was just 55%.
