TNI Bureau: Climate activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk has described Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation as a “victory of democracy”, peace and perseverance. In a post shared on his social media account, Wangchuk congratulated the CJP, the country’s Gen Z and citizens across India for their role in bringing about accountability.
Calling it “direct democracy straight from the streets”, Wangchuk said the development reflected the power of peaceful and patient public participation. He thanked citizens for overcoming fear and raising their voices from every corner of the country.
In his message, Wangchuk said the moment marked not just accountability but also an opportunity for reforms, adding that the focus should now shift from accountability to meaningful change in the system.
