TNI Bureau: In a symbolic political demonstration, members of the “Cockroach Janta Party” (CJP) celebrated the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at Jantar Mantar while paying tribute to students who allegedly lost their lives amid the NEET examination controversy.

CJP activists hailed the resignation as a victory for the student movement, claiming that sustained protests and public pressure had forced accountability. They also observed a tribute to 20-odd victims (who died by suicide after the cancellation of NEET exam in May 2026), stating that their struggle should not be forgotten and must inspire comprehensive reforms in India’s examination system.

Addressing the gathering, CJP leaders including Abhijit Deepke alleged that repeated paper leaks, administrative failures and the hardships faced by lakhs of aspirants had triggered widespread public outrage. They demanded greater transparency, stricter accountability and stronger legal safeguards to prevent future examination irregularities.

While one of their demands, has been fulfilled, the CJP vows to continue their stir till other two demands are met – Rs 1 crore compensation for affected families, and legal protection for the protesters, including withdrawal of all cases against them.
