His decision came a day after the Supreme Court refused to give him extra time to surrender. He has been convicted under the Arms Act in the Mumbai serial blasts case. His review petition on his conviction in the case has already been rejected by the apex court.

Now, Sanjay is ready to undergo his remaining jail term. The apex court had awarded him 5 years imprisonment of which he has already spent 18 years in jail. The remaining more than 3 years he will spend in jail.
