The raid party recovered assets in cash, properties and jewellery. The clerk had four houses and FD worth Rs 80 lakh. However, Arjun Singh refused to give in. He rubbished the allegations and said that his net assets stand at Rs 1 crore, not Rs 40 crore, as claimed by the raid party.

The millionaire clerk claimed that whatever he has today, is his hard-earned money. “I am earning Rs 48,000 per month. My son is an Engineer, my daughter is a Doctor. Whatever we have, is the combined property. It’s completely wrong to say that I have illegal assets,” he said. A detailed probe will find out the real truth behind the clerk’s earnings.
