India’s star batsman Rohit Sharma became the first cricketer to hit two double hundreds in ODI cricket. He achieved the milestone against Sri Lanka in the fourth ODI at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Rohit also surpassed Virender Sehwag (219) to become the highest individual scorer in ODIs.Earlier, Rohit had scored 209 off 158 balls against Australia in 2013. This time, he went on to score 264 off 173 balls with 33 boundaries and 9 sixes. He left the Lankan bowlers clueless and stranded. They were at his mercy, as Rohit continued to slaughter them all over. Sharma also helped India score their fifth 400+ score in ODIs with this knock. He was out off the last ball of the innings.
India finished at 404/5 in 50 overs. Apart from Rohit, Kohli scored 66, while Rahane made 28. Angelo Mathews took two wickets for Sri Lanka. India have already won the series and are all set to make it 4-0 if they win today.
