Biplab Samantray’s hundred went in vain, as the mighty Karnataka defeated Odisha by four wickets in a crucial Ranji Trophy match at the DRIEMS Ground in Tangi, Cuttack. Abhimanyu Mithun was the star of the match, as he took 11 wickets in the match.

Odisha had scored 226 in the first innings. In reply, Karnataka scored 379, thanks to Manish Pandey’s 132. Debutant Suryakant Pradhan took three wickets. In the second innings, Odisha made 270. Biplab Samantray scored 106, while Abhilash Mallick made 50. Mithun and Sharath took five wickets each. Mithun had taken six wickets in the first innings.

Karnataka needed 130 to win the match. They reached 130/6 in 41.3 overs. Suryakant Pradhan took three wickets. Karnataka secured full six points from this match.
