Baripada (27/12): Pyari Mohan Mohapatra, the estranged BJD strategist, has arrived in Baripada to hold a massive rally tomorrow. Pyari would address the crowd at Chhau Padia stadium. He was welcomed with banners and posters. The slogan shouting OJM workers boosted the morale of Pyari ahead of Maha Samabesha.

However, the BJD workers in Baripada came up with a counter-campaign, accusing him of betrayal. The posters put up by BJD in the town, questioned Pyari’s credentials, saying he betrayed CM Naveen Patnaik’s trust after working with him for the last 12 years.

The BJD posters also asked him to use the poster of his own father instead of using the photo of Naveen Patnaik’s father (late Biju Patnaik). Questions were raised on his alleged links with JMM and its Ex-MP Sudam Marandi. “Does Pyari want to cecede Mayurbhanj to the cause of Greater Jharkhand by allying with the JMM”, asked the BJD.

Pyari is stationed at Hotel Durga. It is believed that a formal announcement of a tie-up between the OJM and JMM would be announced tomorrow.
