President and Prime Minister Condole SCB Medical College Fire Tragedy

TNI Bureau: President Droupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi have expressed deep grief over the tragic fire incident at SCB Medical College and Hospital, which resulted in 11 casualties and left several others injured.

In a message shared by Rashtrapati Bhavan on social media, the President said she was deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the fire accident. She extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Office also conveyed the Prime Minister’s grief over the incident through a post on X. The Prime Minister expressed sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and extended his sympathies to the affected families while wishing a quick recovery to those undergoing treatment.

The incident has triggered widespread concern across the country, with leaders expressing solidarity with the victims and calling for stronger safety measures in major healthcare institutions.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that PM Narendra Modi spoke to him over the telephone regarding the unfortunate incident at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister held a detailed discussion on the situation. The Chief Minister informed him about the emergency measures taken for all those affected, the evacuation process, and the special medical treatment being provided to them.

He also briefed the Prime Minister about the high-level judicial inquiry ordered by the state government into the incident.
