TNI Bureau: Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed several important files at Seva Teerth aimed at empowering the poor, downtrodden, farmers, youth and women.
Among the major decisions is the approval for the launch of the PM RAHAT scheme. Under the scheme, victims of accidents will receive cashless treatment of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh to ensure immediate medical assistance.
The government has also doubled the target of the Lakhpati Didi scheme to 6 crore beneficiaries to strengthen women’s empowerment and promote self-reliance.
In a significant move for the agriculture sector, the target of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund has been increased from Rs. 1 lakh crore to Rs. 2 lakh crore. The step is expected to support farmers and boost their incomes.
Additionally, approval has been granted for the Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 with a corpus of Rs. 10,000 crore to encourage early-stage startups and promote deep-tech research.
The Prime Minister said these decisions reaffirm the spirit of “Nagrikdevo Bhava” and add momentum to the vision of building a Viksit Bharat. He described Seva Teerth as a symbol of duty, compassion and commitment to the principle of India First, dedicated to serving the people of the nation.
