TNI Bureau: We just got the information that all petrol pumps in Bhubaneswar will remain closed tomorrow, making the life difficult for the commuters. People, who think they may run short of petrol and diesel tomorrow, should rush to the fuel stations to “recharge” their vehicles.

The 12-hour bandh call (6 AM – 6 PM) was given by the Petroleum Dealers’ Association in the capital city. They are protesting against the high-handedness of the oil companies and some authorities.

The dealers decided to go on the strike in protest against the non-supply of fuel to a Jyotsna Filling Station in Pokhariput for the last 20 days. The oil tankers have stopped supplying the fuel to this HP fuel station after the government authorities caught them supplying less than the quota on January 10.
