Odisha government’s Finance Department has received 1666 suggestions from the people over the upcoming Budget 2016-17. The state government had urged people to share their budget expectations through email, website and text messages.

As per a release issued by the department here, the government has received total 1666 suggestions from the people,out of which 941 suggestions were received through the website (budget.odisha.gov.in), 451 suggestions through e-mail and remaining 274 suggestions were received through SMS.

The suggestions broadly relate to revenue receipts, expenditure allocation and measures for observing economy and improvement in public service delivery etc. The suggestions are being shared with respective Departments and will be taken into consideration while preparing the Annual Budget, 2016-17.
