Bhubaneswar, 28.10.2013: A high level meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Forest & Environment Minister Sri Bijoyshree Routray in his Secretariat Chamber and discussed on loss of tree due to last Phailin. To meet the loss Minister emphasized on plantation of mangroves, Arjun tree near Sericulture cultivation area & low height tree like Kanchan etc near electric polls.
Principal Secretary Forest & Environment Sri R.K. Sharma told to have a special meeting on plantation very soon, PCCF Sri P.N. Padhy expressed regarding enumeration of tree in different district & handover to OFDC depot for needful action.
DFSDP PD Sri Vinod Kumar, PCCF (WL) J.D. Sharma, Spl. Secretary Forest & Environment Sri S. S. Srivastava, Director Nandankanan Sri S. Panda, Addl. Secretary Forest & Environment Sri D. Biswal, OFDC MD Sri Sidhartha Das, ICJMP PD-cum-CE, CDA Sri Ajit Panaik were present in the meeting.
