TNI Bureau: It was a proud moment for all Odias present in New Delhi, when the Odisha Day was inaugurated at the India International Trade Fair – 2012 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Odisha Minister for Energy and I & PR, Shri Arun Sahoo inaugurated the Odisha Day at the Hansadhwani Theatre, Pragati Maidan by lighting the lamp in the presence of several dignitaries and Odia people across Delhi.
The Odisha Pavilion attracted many visitors from all states and parts of Delhi soon. The Odisha Day function was marked by several cultural programmes, including Odissi, Gotipua Dance, Sambalpuri Dance, Tribal dance and the scintillating performance by Prince Dance Group of Berhampur.
Shri Arun Sahoo released the special issues of Odisha Review and Utkal Prasanga, which are being published by the I & PR Department. Among others, Lok Sabha MP Dr. Prasanna Patsani, Principal Resident Commissioner, Shri Sunil Kumar Bhargava, I & PR Commissioner-cum-Secretary Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena and I & PR Director Shri Debendra Prasad Das were present at the Odisha Day inauguration.
