TNI Bureau: The Odisha Legislative Assembly has constituted a committee for the selection of recipients of the “Best Legislators Awards” under the Odisha Best Legislator Award Rules, 2002.

The committee will function under the chairmanship of Speaker Surama Padhy. Deputy Speaker Bhabani Sankar Bhoi has been included as a member of the panel.

The committee also comprises senior legislators Jaya Narayan Mishra and Bhaskar Madhei, along with former MLAs Arabinda Dhali and Amar Prasad Satapathy. Senior journalist Rajaram Satpathy has also been nominated to the committee.

The Best Legislators Awards are presented to recognise outstanding performance, parliamentary conduct, and contributions made by members of the Assembly in legislative proceedings and public service. The committee is expected to review the performance of legislators and recommend deserving candidates for the prestigious honour.
