TNI Bureau: The exhibition on the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in Bhubaneswar ended up as a damp squib, exposing a glaring gap between intent and execution. Meant to create public awareness about India’s new criminal laws replacing the Indian Penal Code, the event barely registered beyond official circles and related people.
With negligible publicity, thin attendance, and almost no media traction, the initiative failed to reach the very citizens it sought to educate. Such indifference defeats the purpose of showcasing reforms like the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
When landmark legal changes struggle to spark conversation, it reflects not public apathy, but a serious failure in outreach, planning, and communication.
