TNI Bureau: The shocking CCTV visuals from Balianta, has exposed the apathy in the system, which probably led to the death of GRP Constable Soumya Ranjan Swain, who was beaten to death by the angry mob in broad daylight yesterday, on charges of assaulting a molesting a young woman.

The visuals confirmed that Soumya was not taken to the hospital in an ambulance; instead he was taken in an open mini truck in the hot summer. Ironically, those who brutally assaulted him, accompanied him, as per the local reports. That points to a serious and unforgivable lapse. The PCR was in the front, but the cops did not bother to carry him in their vehicle.

While the young women have broken silence and accused the deceased of assaulting and molesting them without any provocation and some alleged that he was under the influence of drugs, Soumya’s family has rubbished all allegations and claimed a conspiracy.

All eyes are on the postmortem report to know what exactly led to Soumya Ranjan’s death.
