Naveen and Bhakta Das Express Grief Over SCB Medical College Fire Tragedy

TNI Bureau: Naveen Patnaik, the Leader of the Opposition in Odisha, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire incident at SCB Medical College and Hospital that claimed several lives and left many patients injured.

In a post on X, Patnaik conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate incident and prayed for the speedy recovery of those who sustained serious injuries. He emphasized that the injured patients must receive the best possible medical treatment and urged authorities to ensure immediate and adequate care for all victims.

Patnaik also directed Subhas Singh and Souvic Biswal to visit the hospital, assess the situation on the ground, and extend all possible assistance to the affected families and patients. The former Chief Minister is also expected to visit the hospital to take stock of the situation and express solidarity with the victims.

Meanwhile, OPCC President Bhakta Charan Das also expressed deep anguish over the tragedy. In his post on X, Das termed the incident extremely unfortunate and extended his condolences to the bereaved families. He prayed for peace to the departed souls and wished a speedy recovery for those undergoing treatment after the mishap.

Das further stressed the need for a thorough investigation into the incident and called for strict accountability if any negligence is found. He urged the authorities to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of patients and prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
